The mission of the Tucson Police Foundation is to raise funds for critical life-saving equipment, technology, and training for our Tucson Police Officers and to promote an engaging partnership between the police department and the Tucson community.
With commitment to the safety of the community and its law enforcement personnel, the TPF promotes increased public awareness, facilitating communications, and providing support to the police department with the delivery of professional police services. The foundation offers two interactive programs with the community:
START(Safe Teen Accident Reduction Training) – helping teen drivers, this program delivers free information and behind the wheel class training for teen drivers who are licensed and insured. TPD professional driving instructors provide critical information on decision making, judgement, and basic motor vehicle driving skills.
Adopt a Cop – also known as Hearts of Gold, this is the TPD family outreach program, which is designed to help the sworn and non-sworn members of the department who are in financial crisis due to a catastrophic illness, injury, or accident.
Arizona Charitable Giving is a labor of love created to make it easier for the residents of our great state to search and find local charities that touch their hearts. We share selected charities and events to a large distribution list of Arizona residents via email and social media on a regular basis. Any qualified charitable organizations are welcome to submit their profile to be included in our on-going outreach efforts.
