Junior League of Phoenix

Junior League of Phoenix

Dedicated to providing volunteer services throughout Arizona, the Junior League of Phoenix strives to positively impact the lives of families and individuals every day with nearly 1,000 members from the valley. Their mission is to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership.

Part of this focus includes building a healthy Arizona, with programs to address food insecurity/food access and those to address nutrition and obesity. For over 80 years, JLP volunteers have positively impacted the Phoenix area, by participating and bringing awareness to programs like:

  • Race for the Cure Phoenix
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Emily Anderson Center
  • Ryan House
  • Children’s Museum of Phoenix
  • Kids in the Kitchen
  • Phoenix Day
  • Fresh Express

Volunteers continue to make an impact on the community through the JLP Community Impact projects, investing their time supporting organizations such as:

  • Andre House
  • St. Vincent de Paul
  • Salvation Army
  • Phoenix Zoo
  • ASU
  • Desert Botanical Garden

The JLP has such an impact on their staff, volunteers, and community that former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor stated, “when the Junior League of Phoenix gets behind an idea, Phoenix changes for the better.”

Arizona Charitable Giving is a labor of love created to make it easier for the residents of our great state to search and find local charities that touch their hearts. We share selected charities and events to a large distribution list of Arizona residents via email and social media on a regular basis. Any qualified charitable organizations are welcome to submit their profile to be included in our on-going outreach efforts.

Thank you to our sponsors this month.
