Nearly 200,000 people in Southern Arizona were served food through the efforts of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. The organization helps promote a healthy, hunger-free southern Arizona, ensuring that all residents have equal access to healthy food. That’s why the CFB distributes fresh produce and non-perishable food to a vast network of community partners throughout the state, while also providing nutrition education, garden workshops, culinary skills and helping low income food entrepreneurs with funding and business development planning.
CFB has several programs that help our residents and communities:
After school meals and snacks
Community Garden plots
Emergency food boxes
Senior food boxes
Caridad culinary training
Family advocacy and assistance
Gabrielle Giffords family assistance center
Marana resources center
CFB can’t solve hunger alone, so they continue to work with partners to fight hunger and solve it in the future.
Arizona Charitable Giving is a labor of love created to make it easier for the residents of our great state to search and find local charities that touch their hearts. We share selected charities and events to a large distribution list of Arizona residents via email and social media on a regular basis. Any qualified charitable organizations are welcome to submit their profile to be included in our on-going outreach efforts.
