Arizona Council on Economic Education

Envisioning a world where all school aged children are empowered through economic and personal financial literacy is the vision of the ACEE, by also educating teachers and students can become economically and financially responsible employees, parents, citizens and future leaders. The organization has authored the K-12 Economic Education Academic Standards in Arizona and is the only organization in the state which provides professional development in teaching personal finance and economics, with strong, affiliated academic based learning with universities and colleges.

To date, the organization has:

  • Served 1,000 schools in 104 Arizona cities
  • Trained 1,500 teachers annually
  • Reached 200,000 students annually

The ACEE has several programs that focus on teaching and understanding the role of financial literacy as part of our economy, including

  • Training Arizona K-12 teachers, aligned with the Arizona Department of Education standard for each grade level.
  • Engaged students with a statewide stock market game, finance challenge, and economics challenge competitions. Teams have placed in top spots at the national level, with 58% of them coming from low income or at risk homes.
  • Coaching parents, with outreach to those that are low income.

Arizona Charitable Giving is a labor of love created to make it easier for the residents of our great state to search and find local charities that touch their hearts. We share selected charities and events to a large distribution list of Arizona residents via email and social media on a regular basis. Any qualified charitable organizations are welcome to submit their profile to be included in our on-going outreach efforts.
